2. A open view to immigrant with a “gold rush” mentality
3. Heavy funding by the military and NASA
4. Sillicon Valleys Ecosystem stimulates global and open view
5. A private university that has to prove itself, and allows free thinkers (Stanford), and local universities/colleges
6. Aim to “change the world”
7. People attract, encourage & reward risk takers
8. Social networking mentality

    sometimes I’m wondering who is really profiting from all those young entrepreneurs that are willing to work 80 hours a week for hardly any salary and noting more than a dream of the future and some heroes to look up too. It is probably this self-slavery and free labor based on futuristic and technological deterministic dreams that makes some in this valley filthy rich, and keeps the aura alive.
